I was never intending to release raw footage of Lahna and Rev playing here as Deering & Down, I had two other cameras "rolling" on this event, but as it got close to its 4th hour, they were spent.  It is hard to watch, because I shot this to edit with, and there are a few fast, jerky zooms and pans.  No one should ever have to see that stuff.  But its all that I have on this great performance.  And there is just something about these two that makes you ignore the movement.  I enjoyed it enough to imagine you would too.

From great tragedy comes this heartfelt song, dedicated to a Brother in law recently departed.

Faith Evans Ruch's Album Release Party Papparazzi...

Faith had a lot of friends and listeners on hand to help her celebrate the release of her Album "1835 Madison"

Album Release Party - Faith Evans Ruch -"1835 Madison"

                                                                                With Nick Black

The photographer for this young lady was supposed to have backed out of covering this gig, and her friend Mark Parsell gave me a little something to pay for my time, and I got to be here at Minglewood Hall to see her show and hear her songs and see her presence onstage.  She is a delight to watch and a treat to the ear.  I apologize for the lighting here, the stage lights were not conducive to a good white balance. But I think this looks like some old, expired film,

I am thinking this is Faith's Mom.  not the best photo, but it DOES feature both of them, and it was a big night for both of them.

Some Black and White

                                                      Andrew Geraci
The band was really giving her what she needed, some talented guys in this group.

                                                         Jesse Dakota
                                                        With Jobu Babin

This was a good show, I should have charged her a signed CD for my trouble, but I didn't think of it.  I should have, it was nice to listen to.  I think her skills as a singer make her not just listenable, but she also compels you to listen.  I know I enjoyed listening while I worked.  Good Luck faith, and thank Mark too.  He was a terrible merch salesman, but he told me to come and paid me.  i will do a Papprazzi entry for this event next.......

Ashley McBryde

This is a photo I was lucky enough to get the other night, Ashley is a hard-working singer/songwriter and she was coming to town and I had been advised to show up for her gig, since the advisor said she was great.  I messaged her a few days before the show and asked if she would spare me a moment or two before her show started and take a photo in front of this hallway I thought would make a great picture.  She had no problem with it.  And as you can see, she takes a lovely photo.  Thanks Ashley, you are a great model, and as it turns out, a great singer and musician, too.

I tried my best, with respect, to talk to Ashley about me selling prints, but she did not respond to my Facebuuk messages.  She is always gigging, and I know she is busy, so I understood.  But I sell prints for a living, and I am ready to start selling prints of this photo.  I will still definitely share a percentage of sales with her, and will hold her share aside pending her contacting me.  I thought I gave her a very reasonable period of time to share her thoughts on the matter.  It is time to offer the photo to her fans.

This is a true photo, not a poster, and it is available in your choice of fine art rag paper, Semi-gloss Luster Paper or High Gloss Canon Pro Platinum paper.  The photo is available in 8x10" for $22, 11x14" for $32, and 13x19" for $45, and Priority Mail shipping is included in the price. PayPale is accepted, and checks are accepted with a 'bank clearance' shipping hold.  If Ashley contacts me in 2013, I will share 25% of net profits with her.  For now I will just hold aside a percentage for her and hope she responds.  I know I would be all over it.  Free money is always a blessing.
